Our Youth Fit program is designed to introduce young people to the gym in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. Led by qualified Fitness Coaches, these structured sessions focus on movement skills, confidence, technique, and gym etiquette – setting up healthy habits for life.
The 45-minute sessions run on Monday & Wednesday at 4pm during school terms.

What is Youth Fit?
It’s a structured gym-based program for 11–15-year-olds. It helps build confidence, learn proper technique, improve fitness, and understand how to use the gym safely.
Can my child just come in and train by themselves?
No – Youth Fit is a fully supervised program. Outside of these sessions, young people under 16 can't access the gym unless part of a separate supervised or youth membership arrangement.
How do I sign my child up?
If you are a new to the ERC community you will need to set up a member account with us.
- Go to Perfect Gym
- Click 'JOIN NOW'
- Select 'CREATE FREE ACCOUNT' then next
- Complete all required fields and click 'CREATE ACCOUNT'
- You now need to connect your child to your account. To do this, go to the 'ACCOUNT ' section and then click 'FRIENDS AND FAMILY'
- Click 'ADD FAMILY MEMBER'
- Select "CREATE NEW ACCOUNT" then next
- Complete all required fields and click 'CREATE ACCOUNT"
- Now you're ready to book into a class!
Once you have created your new account or if you already have an account you will need to book into a class
- On your account dashboard, go to 'BOOK'
- Go to the 'COURSES' tab
- You will now see the available classes to register for
- Click 'ENROL NOW'
- Ensure you click on your child's account and select 'ENROL NOW'
- In Payment section please select 'CASH'. You won't be charged this will allow us to complete the enrolment
- A summary of your bookings can be found under "MY BOOKINGS TAB'
Can my 10-year-old join? They’re very mature.
Youth Fit is strictly for ages 11–15 to ensure age-appropriate training. We’d love to see them next year!
Is this like a PT session?
Not quite – it’s a small group setting led by a qualified fitness coach, with a focus on learning, movement skills, and building confidence – but not personal training.
What does my child need to bring?
Just activewear, closed-in shoes, a water bottle, a towel, and a positive attitude is a bonus too!
Do parents need to stay during the session?
No need to stay – you're welcome to, but the sessions are fully supervised by trained staff.
How much does it cost?
Initial 5 week pilot program is free! But Term 4 will have an associated cost. TBA
What else should I know?
A Pre-Exercise Registration Form AND enrolment is required to be completed and signed by a parent/guardian prior to the first session and renewed every term.
All sessions are conducted by qualified, experienced and energetic Fitness Coach and follow national guidelines for delivery of children and adolescent’s health and fitness services.
We encourage independence in our program so prefer parents do not attend the sessions, but are welcome to speak to the Fitness Coaches before or after the sessions.
Participants are required to wait in the foyer for the Fitness Coach to collect at the start of each session.
Change rooms are available.
