The Evolt 360 is an advanced body composition analyser that provides a detailed look at what’s happening inside your body — far beyond what a traditional scale can show. Using scientifically validated bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), it measures more than 40 parameters to help you understand your current health, track your progress, and make informed decisions about your training and nutrition.
The Evolt 360 captures over 40 data points, providing an in-depth understanding of your body. These include:
-
Total Body Weight – Your overall body mass.
-
Skeletal Muscle Mass – The amount of muscle attached to your bones, crucial for strength, mobility, and metabolism.
-
Segmental Muscle & Fat Analysis – Breakdown of muscle and fat across each limb and trunk, identifying imbalances or areas for improvement.
-
Body Fat Percentage (BF%) – The proportion of fat tissue relative to total weight.
-
Visceral Fat Level – The fat stored around your internal organs, an important indicator of metabolic and cardiovascular health.
-
Lean Body Mass (LBM) – The total mass of everything in your body except fat — including muscle, bones, organs, and water.
-
Total Body Water (TBW) – The amount of water in your body, split into:
-
Intracellular Water (ICW) – Water within cells, important for metabolism and recovery.
-
Extracellular Water (ECW) – Water outside cells, which helps transport nutrients and manage inflammation.
-
Protein and Mineral Levels – Indicators of tissue health and bone density.
-
Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) – The energy your body requires at rest to maintain basic functions.
-
Metabolic Age – A reflection of your metabolism compared to the average for your chronological age.
-
Body Cell Mass (BCM) – Represents metabolically active cells and gives an insight into performance potential.
-
Phase Angle – A marker of cellular health and vitality, closely linked to recovery and immune function.
-
Bio Age Score – A calculated score summarising your internal health, making it easy to track improvements.
How does the Evolt 360 work?
The scanner sends a safe, low-level electrical current through your body via contact points on your hands and feet. Because different tissues — such as muscle, fat, and water — conduct electricity at different rates, the Evolt 360 can calculate a detailed picture of your body composition.
The process is quick, non-invasive, and takes under 60 seconds. Your results appear instantly on screen and automatically sync with the Evolt Active App for easy tracking and comparison over time.
What is the Evolt Active app?
The Evolt Active App pairs seamlessly with your scan results, allowing you to view your data anytime and anywhere. You can:

The app helps translate your data into actionable steps, making it easier to stay accountable to your fitness journey.
Why is it important to track my progress?
Your body composition tells a far more complete story than weight alone. Tracking how your muscle mass, fat mass, and other key metrics change over time helps you understand whether your program is working effectively.
By focusing on these internal changes, you can celebrate genuine improvements in health and fitness — even if the number on the scale doesn’t move. Regular scans also help identify plateaus early, allowing for smarter training and nutrition adjustments.
What are the ideal scanning conditions and why is it important?
For the most accurate and consistent results, try to scan under the same conditions each time. Factors such as hydration, food intake, recent exercise, and hormonal changes can all influence readings.
General best practice:
-
Scan at the same time of day (preferably in the morning).
-
Avoid eating, caffeine, or vigorous exercise for at least 2 hours prior.
-
Empty your bladder before your scan.
-
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before scanning.
-
Wear minimal clothing and remove jewellery or metal accessories.
-
Stay hydrated, but do not drink excessively before scanning.
For people with a menstrual cycle:
Hormonal fluctuations during the menstrual cycle can temporarily affect body composition readings, especially water retention and overall body weight. For the most consistent results, it’s recommended to scan:
-
At the same point in your menstrual cycle each time (for example, during the follicular phase, roughly days 6–10 after your period begins).
-
Avoid scanning during menstruation or just before your period if you experience bloating or fluid retention, as this can elevate total body water and slightly alter fat or muscle readings.
Consistency in timing — both daily and monthly — ensures your comparisons reflect genuine changes in your body composition rather than normal hormonal variations.
