The Shire of Dardanup is pleased to announce refurbishment works at the Eaton Recreation Centre, set to start this month.
These long-anticipated upgrades will refresh the main changerooms, toilets, and showers, improving the centre's facilities for all users.
While the project is expected to take approximately three months, preparations are already underway with fencing, a shipping container, and a designated works area installed at the site.
Temporary access arrangements
During the refurbishment period, the main changerooms and universal access toilets will be unavailable. Instead, members and visitors will use the east end changerooms and toilets, which have been equipped with 24/7 access to ensure convenience outside the Centre’s staffed hours.
Entry to the temporary facilities will be through an internal door located on the courtside of the gym. Security measures, including sensors and access controls, will be in place to manage entry.
Members are reminded to scan their cards individually and refrain from allowing others to enter.
What to expect from the refurbishment
The works will deliver a refreshed and modernised experience, including:
- Upgraded changerooms, showers, and toilets.
- Improved accessibility, with universal accessible toilets access shifted to hallways outside the main toilets.
- Removal of the existing wall in the entry to enhance the space’s functionality.
These upgrades are part of the Shire of Dardanup’s commitment to providing high-quality, accessible facilities for the community.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time and look forward to unveiling the improved facilities soon. Stay tuned for updates as the project progresses.
