Eaton Recreation Centre (ERC) is raising the bar on health and fitness with an exciting gym refresh, featuring Technogym cardio equipment, an improved layout and enhanced technology to create a more engaging experience for members.

Shire President Cr Tyrrell Gardiner said the upgrade reflects the Shire’s commitment to providing facilities that support healthier and more active lifestyles.

"This refresh is about creating a better experience for members and ensuring the ERC continues to meet the needs of our growing community," Cr Gardiner said.

"The new equipment, technology and improved layout provide more opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to stay active, while making it easier for members to track their progress and stay motivated via the integrated Technogym App."

Designed with the whole community in mind, the refreshed gym caters for everyone, from beginners to experienced gym-goers. The new Technogym equipment provides greater variety and flexibility, allowing members to tailor workouts to their individual needs and fitness levels.

A new Fitness Check helps members understand their current fitness levels, identify areas for improvement and progress over time.

During staffed hours, members will access the gym through the Centre via Reception, creating a stronger sense of community, while connecting members with the café and wider Centre.

Staffed gym hours are 5.30am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 10.30am on Saturdays, with 24/7 access continuing via the external gym entrance outside these hours.

Exciting new Group Fitness classes, including GymFit 30, will also be introduced over the coming months.

The community are invited to come and experience the new-look gym, meet the fitness team and find out how ERC can support their fitness goals.
