Virtual fitness is the phenomena taking the world by storm and Eaton Rec Centre is proud to be the first facility in the South West to bring Fitness on Demand (FOD) to it’s members.
Located inside the cycling studio in the gym, our virtual FOD system is made up of a large screen, quality sound system and a touch screen console loaded with a range of exciting classes for you to choose from – over a 100 to be exact. You can access whatever classes you like on demand at any time, 24/7. So whether you turn up at 10am or 10pm you can still do your favourite class!
The benefits of Fitness on Demand
- Access your favourite classes when it suits you, not when it suits us.
- Gives anyone new to group fitness the chance to gain confidence and learn the moves before stepping into live classes
- Mix up your training to maintain motivation
- Stop, start or pause a class as you need
- Quality, safe instruction from some of the worlds leading fitness content providers
- Participate in the privacy of our smaller fitness/cycling studio inside the gym
Are the virtual classes going to replace the “live” group fitness classes?
Definitely not – we are 100% committed to our live classes that are loved by the hundreds of members who take them every week. Virtual classes will never be able to fully replicate the atmosphere, motivation and fun found in a class with a live instructor but they are a great way to fit training into our busy lives.
I’m not tech savvy, will I be able to operate the FOD?
Our FOD system is ready to go whenever there are no live cycling classes on. All you need to do is select your class, set up your equipment and press play. Our staff are more than happy to show you how to use the system but we have easy-to-follow instructions posted next to the console in the cycling studio. Feel free to go in, have a play with the touch screen console and check out the variety of classes – we promise you won’t be able to break it!
What sort of classes are on offer?
